Summary
Copies the rows of a table, table view, feature class, feature layer, or raster with attribute table to a new geodatabase, .csv, .txt, or .dbf table.
Usage
If the input is a table view or feature layer and has a selection, only the selected rows are copied to the output table.
This tool supports the following table formats as input:
- Geodatabase
- dBASE (.dbf)
- Comma-separated values (.csv or .txt)
- Microsoft Excel worksheets (.xls or .xlsx)
- In-memory table views
For file input (.csv or .txt), the first row of the input file is used as the field names on the output table. Field names cannot contain spaces or special characters (such as $ or *), and you will receive an error if the first row of the input file contains spaces or special characters.
All rows are copied if the input is a feature class or table. If the input rows are from a layer or table view that has a selection, only the selected features or rows will be used.
If the input rows are a feature class, only the attributes, and not the geometry, are copied to the output table.
To add or append the copied rows to an existing table, use the Append tool.
