Message: This table is registered as versioned with a different model than the connected version. Edits cannot be made.

This message is displayed on the Editing Status dialog box.

Cause

The versioning type for the database connection does not match the registration type of the dataset you are attempting to edit. For example, the data source for the database connection is set to branch versioning, but the dataset is registered as versioned using traditional versioning.

Solution

For traditional versioned datasets, change the database connection to use the traditional versioning type and re-add the data to the map. To learn more, see Connect to a traditional version.
