Mapping in ArcGIS Pro is a visual and interactive experience. You can create 2D maps and 3D scenes to visualize spatial data. Organize and customize the display of one or more layers to be as simple or complex as the data requires. Working with maps includes the following capabilities:
- Visualize and work with 2D data in a map.
- Create a 3D scene to view spatial relationships with a vertical axis and gain a new perspective of the data.
- Set display options and map properties such as extent, scale, and coordinate systems.
- Use symbols, labels, and pop-ups to communicate the characteristics of the data layers.
- Build multiscale maps, and create vector tiles from them.
- Explore maps and their contents using navigation commands, tools, and keyboard shortcuts.
- Create animations to showcase your maps and export them to a common video format.
- Work with temporal data and visualize change over time and space using the time slider.
- Visualize data that overlaps the same location as a dynamic range of layers.
- Share and collaborate using web maps and web scenes.
- Add maps and layers from ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World.
