To learn more about the application of terminals, see Terminals.
To work with terminals, a terminal configuration must be created and then assigned to an asset type in the device feature class or junction object table. The Delete Terminal Configuration geoprocessing tool is used to delete a terminal configuration from a utility network.
Note:
There are some network configuration tasks that can only be performed before the network topology is enabled for the first time. To learn more, see Utility network management tasks.

To delete a terminal configuration, the following requirements must be met:
- The network topology has never been enabled.
- The network topology must be disabled.
- The terminal configuration must not be assigned to an asset type.
- When working with an enterprise geodatabase, ensure the following:
- The Input Utility Network parameter must be from a database connection established as the database utility network owner.
