Import a military overlay

You can import existing military overlays to a map using the Military Symbology Editor.

Import a military overlay to a new map

To import an existing military overlay to a new map, complete the following steps:

1. On the ribbon, click the tab where you added the Military Symbology Editor tools, and click Military Symbology Editor .
2. In the Military Symbology Editor pane, click the Enable button.

   The Add Military Overlay dialog box appears.

3. Click Import Overlay .
4. Browse to the feature dataset for the military overlay you want to import and select it.
5. Click OK.
6. Optionally, on the Add Military Overlay dialog box, rename the military overlay.
7. Under Layers To Add, use the check boxes to select the layers to add to the overlay.
8. Click OK.

Import a military overlay to a map that contains a military overlay

To import an existing military overlay to a map that already contains a military overlay complete the following steps:

1. In the Military Symbology Editor pane, click Add Military Overlay .

   The Add Military Overlay dialog box appears.

2. Click Import Overlay .
3. Browse to the feature dataset for the military overlay you want to import and select it.
4. Click OK.
5. Optionally, on the Add Military Overlay dialog box, rename the military overlay.
6. Under Layers To Add, use the check boxes to select the layers to add to the overlay.
7. Click OK.
