Some web layers, one of the data types, caching options, and configurations are not supported on ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes. The supported web layers also depend on the portal version. If you are sharing web layers that reference registered data, the data source of each layer must be registered with the selected federated server. To learn more about registering your data, see Manage registered data stores.
The <value> parameter refers to the web layer type, data type, caching option, or configuration.
The following are not supported when sharing to ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes:
- Hosted map image layers
- Vector tile layers cached on the server
- 3D object feature layers shared as web scene layers cached on the server
- The Allow clients to export cache tiles option
- The Create tiles on demand option
If you are sharing web scene layers, web imagery layers, or web elevation layers, not all functionality is supported when sharing to each version of ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes. The following are limitations when sharing to older versions:
- ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes 11.3 or earlier—Web scene layers cached on the server are not supported.
- ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes 10.9.1:
- Web imagery layers that copy all data or draw using tiles are not supported.
- Web elevation layers cached on the server are not supported.
- ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes 10.9 or earlier—Web imagery layers and web elevation layers are not supported.
Solutions
Do one of the following:
- If you are sharing a vector tile layer or web scene layer and the web layer's caching option is unsupported, configure it to cache locally.
On the General tab, under Data and Layer Type, select the web layer under Copy all data and uncheck the Feature check box. The web layer will be cached locally.
- If you are sharing a web imagery layer to ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes 10.9.1, ensure that the data source is registered with the server. You can only configure the web layer to draw dynamically from data.
On the General tab, under Data and Layer Type, select Reference registered data. If necessary, click the Configuration tab. Click the Configure Layers tab below it. Under Layer(s), next to Imagery, click the Configure Web Layer Properties button . Under Layer Drawing, click Dynamically from data.
- If you are sharing a web elevation layer to ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes 10.9.1, set the web layer to copy all data and configure it to cache locally.
On the General tab, under Data and Layer Type, select Copy all data. Click the Configuration tab. Under Options, click Cache locally.
- If the configuration is unsupported, uncheck the option.
On the Configuration tab, under Options, uncheck Allow clients to export cache tiles or Create tiles on demand (for map image layers).
